Sleeping patterns are a hot topic at playgroups all over. Every parent wants to know how they compare. Lets face it. No matter how precious your baby is, we want the little tike to peter out at the end of the day (and a couple of times during the day). So, we hear about the debate. We’re either allowing our children to self soothe, or we’re patiently waiting for them to drift off. Its an ironic situation either way. To teach a baby to self soothe, you must hear some curdling screaming and crying. It doesn’t sound the least bit soothing. Likewise, to hold or rock a baby to sleep can sometimes be exhausting, frustrating, and make the parent want to cry.
